UPDATE: You will receive an email on Tuesday morning, shortly after 5:30AM if the course is closed due to weather OR if the course is cart path only due to playing conditions. In either scenario, we will postpone the first day of the Championship and play Round 1 on Thursday August 1st. Round 2 would then be played on Monday August 5th followed by the awards luncheon.
Tuesday, July 30th:
- Check-in table opens at 7:00 am—don't forget to pick up your grab-and-go snack!
- Free practice range balls
- Players will be assigned partners and tee times, going out in flights based on handicaps (lowest to highest)
- No lunch is provided on the first day of play
Thursday August 1st:
- Check-in table opens at 7:00 am—don't forget to pick up your grab-and-go snack!
- Free practice range balls
- Players will be assigned partners and tee times, going out based on first day scores (highest to lowest)
- Closing Luncheon and Awards Ceremonies immediately after golf
- Prizes:
- Low Gross 1st and 2nd Place for both 18-hole and 9-hole
- Low Net 1st and 2nd for each flight in both 18-hole and 9-hole
- Low Net Across the field for both 18-hole and 9-hole
Rain date will be August 5th.
ELIGIBILTY
WGA league members who have played 50% of the possible league days for the current season prior to the Championship or 5 league rounds from the previous season are eligible. Registered names will be submitted to the appropriate league officers for verification of eligibility. Exceptions may be made at the Championship Committee's discretion.
CANCELLATION
If a player must cancel out of the tournament, the Championship chairman must be notified by email no latter than July 26. The chairman will acknowledge the cancellation.
HANDICAPS
Handicaps as of July 27th will be used to determine flights so the pairings can be sent out via emails.
TIES
In case of a tie for the overall Low Gross (Champion), there will be a sudden death playoff beginning on Hole #1. If there is a tie for the Low Net over the field prize, both will receive the award. All others ties will be broken by using the score cards from the last day according to USGA rules.
